Dysani’s Maskaro persona has never been meant as a secret identity. It’s meant to hide that she even needs one to begin with.
Dysani: In that case…
You need a disguise.
Vela: Huh?
Dysani: If you’re anything like me, nothing can stop you from wanting to help out.
My disguise isn’t about hiding what I look like- it’s about hiding that I exist. People see Maskaro on stage and helping out, and that’s all they see. Dysani remains an unknown. Mom said I should hide my tails and patterns, but the rest was up to me.
Vela: Vela supposes most Fii’len have one tail, so that’s smart.
Dysani: Fii’len?
Is that… what I am?
I kind of feel like in a world as populated and diverse with aliens as this, Dasani’s species would have been known via any medical records like dental, shots, or trips there as a child.
Unless they’re like ‘Eh screw it. You’re fox-like enough, this should be fine.”
