Vela: Vela doesn’t care about that stuff. Sword Lady smells familiar, and smells of blood, but the smells have faded. That makes the smells unimportant.
Dysani: (thinking) …creepy…
Vela: But Vela does agree that she’d kick your butt. She’ll keep you guys safe.
Alex: Glad to hear it! Crew, this is Vela and Dysani- They’ll be joining us on our trip to Abellio.

I mean, if the smell has faded, then logically she hasn’t put any new blood on her hands recently, right? So it’s not important.
